Paw & Feather Publishing
Submission Guidelines

This is an overview of the Paw & Feather submission process. While these guidelines apply to most situations, they are subject to change on a project to project basis.

So you want to have something published by
Paw & Feather? Great! We'd love to work with you.
There are just a few logisticts that need to be addressed first. (Don't worry. We'll make it as painless as possible.)

1) This is, quite simply, a freelance hiring process. We are paying an individual, or group, to create a product for Paw & Feather, which Paw & Feather then becomes the owner of. However, any characters and other content ideas remain the property of the creator.

2) Before Paw & Feather hires on new talent, we'd like to see a little bit of your work. Please send your best works, not incompletes, which fall within the context of the publication you wish to submit for. For example:

  • E-Comics:  Please submit a single page which displays a coherency in composition, page layout flow, foreshortening, etc. Simply showing two characters from the chest up with a flat colored background really doesn't tell us a whole lot about your skill level.

  • Stories:  A page or two displaying coherency of proper pronunciation, paragraph composition, engaging storytelling, etc.

  • 3) You must be at least 18 years of age in order for Paw & Feather Publishing to work with you.

    4) At present time, the method of payment Paw & Feather uses to pay artists/writers is direct deposit through PayPal. In the future, Paw & Feather plans on expanding to other payment plans.

    5) Finally, please don't be discouraged if, at present time, we feel you need to hone your skills some more before working together. You are free to submit as often as you'd like, so sharpen those skills and try again!

Ok! Now that that's done, on to the good stuff. Here is what Paw & Feather is looking for:
